India vs Pakistan World Cup 2027

India v Pakistan is on Sunday, 10 October 2027 at the Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg. It closes out the opening weekend.

The two sides could meet again. India (A1) and Pakistan (A3) are scheduled to play in the Super 7 on 7 November at Newlands, Cape Town, if both qualify. That’s up to two meetings before the semi-finals, with a knockout meeting still possible after that.

Cricket World Cup 2027 Super 7 schedule

Seven teams enter the Super 7: the top three from each group, plus the better fourth-placed team across both groups.

Points from the group stage don’t carry over. Everyone starts at zero and plays the other six teams once, for 21 matches in total, one a day from 25 October to 14 November.

The ICC pre-seeded the slots so fans can plan travel and tickets. If a non-seeded team qualifies in place of a seeded one, it takes that team’s slot and fixtures.

For example, if Bangladesh qualify and Sri Lanka don’t, Bangladesh become B3 and play Australia on 25 October.

The Qualifier is a 10-team event. The field includes:

  • The 2 next-best teams in the rankings (West Indies and Ireland, per current reports)
  • The top 4 from the 2024 to 2026 Cricket World Cup League 2
  • The top 4 from a qualifier play-off in December 2026

The Qualifier winner goes straight into the group stage. The runner-up, third and fourth place go to the Super Series.

The play-off and League 2 aren’t finished, so the final Qualifier line-up can still change.
